Jerred P. A native of West Virginia, he received his undergraduate degree from West Virginia Wesleyan College in 2001 and his juris doctor from the University of Kentucky in 2004. Prior to joining Burton Neil & Associates, Jerred spent eight years practicing commercial and consumer collections in Kentucky, including four years as lead attorney and manager of the collections department at a Lexington, Kentucky firm. In addition to commercial and consumer collections, Jerred has experience in subrogation law, Social Security law, and workers' compensation insurance defense. Jerred is licensed to practice in West Virginia and Kentucky, and has been involved with the Commercial Law League of America, the International Association of Commercial Collectors and the National Association of Retail Collection Attorneys. Harold K. ("H.K.") Carpenter is an associate who joined the firm in April, 2020. H.K. works from the firm's West Virginia office, and practices in both consumer and commercial collections. H.K. is a native of West Virginia and graduated from West Virginia University in 2009 and from WVU College of Law in 2012. While in law school, H.K. worked as a student-attorney in the general law clinic, representing low income clients in a variety of legal fields. Upon graduation, H.K. worked in administrative law, representing Social Security Disability claimants across an eight state region.

Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, 1969 United States Supreme Court, 1973 Chester County Bar Association, 1973 Burton Neil is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University and the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. He received his J.D. degree in 1968. He was in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General Corps from 1969 to 1973 with service in Korea in 1970-71. He received a commendation from the Judge Advocate General for outstanding effort in the field of collections (1970), and was awarded both the Meritorious Service and Army Commendation Medals. He was an assistant public defender in Chester County from 1973 to 1976. He is a past president of Allen B. Kodish Lodge of B’nai B’rith and Kesher Israel Congregation, and has been on its board of directors since 1978. He was admitted to the bar of the United States Supreme Court in 1973.
